|UK BTL Outlook|
If you’re a buy-to-let investor, you’ll want to look at those areas that will
see the most capital growth in the years ahead. The latest Halifax Town House Price Survey makes interesting
reading for BTL investors and highlights a key investment principle.
The survey covers price rises in towns through 2011 and really shows the importance of looking beyond averages,
certainly for the country and even by county. Look instead at your target, micro market.
For example, Suffolk property prices flatlined in 2011 whilst Ipswich, the county town, saw a 9 per cent rise in
property prices. Even then, those who know the town will say that even within that 9 per cent there are huge
variations. More to come on this shortly.
